An Industrial Process Engineer here at Shape works closely with a multidisciplinary Agile team to build cutting-edge advanced analytics solutions. These solutions will generate insights from our connected data, enabling the team to advance the data-driven decision-making capabilities of our enterprise. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering, troubleshooting, and monitoring of industrial processes and equipment. They work closely with Data Scientists and Product Owners to ensure business value and quality.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to develop advanced analytics solutions for condition monitoring and performance optimization of industrial assets.
Compile and digest industrial technical documentation as operational manuals, datasheets and P&ID’s to gather information that will be utilized as input for data-driven models.
Develop root cause analysis studies of industry failure events to identify new opportunities for development and improvement of SHAPE digital solutions.
Explore and develop mathematical modeling of industrial thermodynamic processes to support data-driven solutions development.
Explore historical time-series data of process equipment’s to validate hypothesis and test modeling techniques.
Implement SHAPE digital products in new clients as well as supporting development of new features.
Problem framing: participate in problem framing together with business
owners, data scientists and other engineers for identified opportunities.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (completed).
Experience: Experience in Process Engineer in industries such as Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, or similar sectors.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation tools and optimization of thermodynamic processes.
Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to efficiently interact across technical, design, and business functions.
Language: Advanced English proficiency.
Certification: CREA certification is mandatory.
Differential
Experience working with digital technologies in the industry for process simulation and condition monitoring.
Experience in O&G.
Availability to work at our office, at Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
Experience using AVEVA PI System or similar Data Historian.
Aptitude to learn Python programming language, elaborate small scripts and perform simple data analysis.
